The Vanderbilt Postdoctoral Association was formed in 1998 and has successfully united postdoctoral research fellows from the basic science as well as clinical departments.
We believe that there are many benefits to being involved in such an organization: ranging from the obvious social interactions, to providing opportunities to practice seminars, and to bring in speakers on career preparation. In addition, this provides a mechanism to have input into decision-making at the highest levels in the Medical Center.
The PDA committee members meet on the first
Tuesday of each month, 5:00 pm., usually either in the student
lounge or in 350 Light Hall. Monthly email announcements
reminding all of the meeting specifics will be sent to all
current postdocs. If you have any items that you would like
to add to the meeting agenda, or if you are interested in
serving as a PDA officer, please contact Anthony
Baucum.
