Welcome to the Medical Scientist Training Program (MSTP) at the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, where leaders in academic medicine are trained. Our program is designed to foster the development of independent scientific careers by providing a strong core education in medicine and an intensive training in scientific inquiry. Successful completion of the MSTP leads to both the M.D. and Ph.D. degrees.
