YOU ARE NOT ALONE (WOMEN IN ACADEME SERIES)
Friday, October 31, 2008
Time and location TBA
Sponsored by Margaret Cuninggim Women's Center, the BRET Office of Career Development, and the School of Engineering
Many female graduate students and postdoctoral fellows have shared that at times they feel isolated or feel that issues that arise are only happening to and around them. The goal of this session is to bring female graduate students and postdoctoral fellows together to meet each other, provide resources, and have facilitated discussions about women in academe. As a group we will identify some of the top issues, priorities and challenges for women in academe. Expect to meet other women from across Vanderbilt Academia and begin to build your network on campus…because you are definitely NOT alone.
